Summer ends and Fall begins along the Great Allegheny Passage...
Spend a beautiful fall weekend in a destination with impressive settings where there are more bikes than cars and forested ridges than highrises!
Join forces to raise funds for research, education and advocacy in the fight against chronic kidney disease as you Ride along the Great Allegheny Passage, named part of National Geographic's "Best Fall Trips of 2017"!
Riders of all levels will have the opportunity to cycle a variety of 16, 32, and 44 mile routes through the scenic Mountainside of Maryland. The Ride is fully supported with rest stops stocked with snacks, ice-cold drinks and encouraging volunteers.
The sense of accomplishment you’ll feel as you reach each mile can only be matched by the difference you’ll be making in the lives of everyone affected by kidney disease:
*$1000 will fund at least 5 Patient Emergency Assistance grants
*$500 will fund one month of transportation to dialysis for 10 patients
*$250 will buy medical alert bracelets for 23 kidney and/or transplant patients
*$100 will buy groceries for a week for a family of 2
*$50 will pay part of a gas/electric bill for one kidney or transplant patient
*$25 will pay for blood work of one participant at a kidney screening
